ASN lookup
Find the autonomous system number for an IP’s routing network, or open the ASN directory below for organization details and announced prefix examples.
Your current IP is the HTTP exit used to reach this site. Lookups use external IP intelligence services.

What does an ASN tell you?
An autonomous system is a collection of networks under a common routing policy, identified by an ASN. BGP uses these numbers to describe paths between networks. An ASN helps identify the operator, not the location of an individual device or user.
Frequently asked questions
Can an IP change its originating ASN?
Yes. Network migrations, address leasing, and routing changes can change an originating ASN. Check the observation time and distinguish registration data from current announcements.
