Residential proxies and residential IPs
A residential network classification describes how an address is used; a residential proxy signal reflects proxy activity reported by intelligence providers. These are different attributes. Home connections can share exits, and residential addresses can be repurposed as proxies.
Verify a proxy configuration
Open the checker inside the browser environment that uses the proxy and confirm its exit IP. Then inspect WebRTC, DNS, time zone, and language settings. An IP reputation score is not a score for browser-environment consistency.
